Delegate for Christian Formation and Mission, Archdiocese of Chicago
Father Louis Cameli is a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Ordained in 1969, he holds a licentiate in theology and a doctorate in theology with a specialization in spirituality from the Gregorian University in Rome. He has served in a number of parishes, as a member of the faculty at Mundelin Seminary and as director of spiritual life and as dean of the ecclesiastically recognized faculty at the seminary. Father Cameli has also served as director of ongoing formation for the Archdiocese of Chicago and as director of the Cardinal Stritch Retreat House. He currently serves as the delegate for Christian Formation and Mission.
Father Cameli has published a number of books on spirituality, faith formation, prayer, and priestly ministry. He served as the principal writer and general editor of the USCCB document
